We look forward to welcoming you on one of our trains soon.

This year we are having to do this a little differently, so before you buy your tickets, please read the following information carefully.

To allow us to comply with current social distancing guidelines and to ensure you have a comfortable journey, we have introduced seat allocation and, to allow you to split your journey, all tickets this year will be sold as ‘singles’ valid for one journey only. This means that if want to return to your starting point you will need to buy two tickets – one for your outward journey and one for your return.

Seats will be allocated by tables or compartments so one ticket will cover up to two, four or six passengers travelling together in a family group or social bubble. 

Please purchase your outward ticket first and then (once you have selected your outward train) click the continue shopping button to buy your return ticket.

As you make your selections, please check to make sure you buy both tickets for the same day, for the departure times you require and the starting point of your return journey. If you start your visit at Buckfastleigh your return journey should start from Totnes, if you start your visit at Totnes your return journey should start at Buckfastleigh.

Tickets for open compartments and adjacent tables accommodating six people are priced assuming the party contains four adults and two children. If you have three adults and three children, then you can obtain a further discount by entering the discount code child3 at the checkout. If your party comprises four children and two adults, then enter the discount code child4. Infants under the age of three travel free but are not allocated a seat.

If we have to cancel trains because of changing Government Covid-19 regulations, then you will be offered the chance to rebook for a later date. You may also ask for a refund but booking fees are not refundable. Refunds also cannot be given if you add gift aid.

We have taken many precautions to make your journey safe and a full list of our Covid-19 safety measures will come with your ticket confirmation.

Please note, face masks must be worn in all areas except private compartments.

To maximise the available capacity, we are currently unable to sell tickets for one person, but you would be welcome to travel alone by booking a table for two.

Members of the South Devon Railway Association can claim their discount by following the instructions sent to them by the SDRA. Members must present a valid membership card when checking in for their journey. Anyone travelling in the party who is not covered by the card will be asked to pay full fare.
