As part of our measures to ensure we are COVID-19 secure, we are operating an advanced booking system with pre-allocated seating which will ensure our trains are loaded to a safe capacity with social distancing on-board. Where possible, please book your travel in advance as this will ensure you can travel at the time you wish to do so. Where capacity on board permits, tickets remain available “on the day” from our booking offices.
Tickets are available online until 2359 on the day prior to travel, if you wish to book on the day you are visiting then please purchase your tickets from our booking offices at Buckfastleigh or Totnes.
We are currently able to accommodate up to 3 wheelchair users from one “group of six/2 household” group on each of our trains. If you wish to make a reservation to visit with a wheelchair then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
To help keep you safe, we have ensured we are following all guidelines to be COVID-19 secure. This includes:
- enhanced cleaning on our trains and at stations (including “fogging” with specific long-lasting anti-viral agents),
- regular cleaning of common-touch surfaces during the day,
- reduced capacity on board our trains with pre-allocated seating to support social distancing,
- Perspex screens between each bay of seats on board
- hand sanitiser stations installed across the railway,
- operation of “Test and Trace” for all of our train passengers with access to our trains only available to those who have checked in.
When visiting us, we ask that you wear a face covering when in our station buildings, on our platforms and trains (unless you are in a private compartment with the door closed) and in our shop and kiosk, in line with the law, unless you are medically exempt. We also ask that you follow all signs and instructions relating to social distancing and maximum capacity within certain areas, and please regularly wash your hands making use of our sanitisation stations.
Please ensure that you provide accurate details relating to each member of your party visiting us who is over the age of 16 when booking, for test and trace purposes.
As we are classified as an indoor attraction, train travel can only be sold for groups of up to six people OR two households.
If you have a special journey request, please email email@example.com and we will do our best to help you.
