Summer Rails & Ales
Dates:
Join us on 28th – 31st August for our popular Summer Rails & Ales event.
Trains will be running all day with departures from Buckfastleigh and Totnes Riverside at frequent intervals. Totnes Riverside station is a 450m walk from the mainline station and bus stop; perfect if you are leaving the car behind to sample some local tipples and visiting us by public transport. Where possible, our train timetable is shaped around mainline connections.
At Buckfastleigh, we have a large FREE car park and there are nearby bus stops for routes between Plymouth and Exeter. There is NO PARKING available at Staverton so we recommend using our heritage trains to take you there.
At Staverton, the beer festival will be in full swing, offering a great selection of different ales, craft beers and ciders to enjoy from Devon Diesel Society’s award-winning bar.
Music will be played throughout the event and we’ll be joined by Bow Creek on Saturday evening between 18.00 – 19.30, playing a mix of traditional and alternative folk, Irish and popular pop covers. Sunday evening will be Bingo night.
Fares
Our standard train fares apply for this event, but if you are travelling from Buckfastleigh or Totnes to Staverton only (return or single), fares have been capped at the lower price of just £12 per adult or senior.
Looking to travel after 17.29 to enjoy the festival in the evening? Book online and your tickets will be reduced to half price automatically!
Please note, you will need a valid train ticket to access Staverton Station and the beer festival.
