Spring Rails & Ales
Dates:

Join us on the 23rd – 26th May for our popular Spring Rails & Ales.
Trains will be running all day with departures from Buckfastleigh and Totnes Riverside at frequent intervals. Totnes Riverside station is a 450m walk from the mainline station and bus stop; perfect if you are leaving the car behind to sample some local tipples and visiting us by public transport. Where possible, our train timetable is shaped around mainline connections.
At Buckfastleigh, we have a large FREE car park and there are nearby bus stops for routes between Plymouth and Exeter. There is NO PARKING available at Staverton so we recommend using our heritage trains to take you there.
At Staverton, the beer festival will be in full swing, offering a great selection of different ales, craft beers and ciders to enjoy from Devon Diesel Society’s award-winning bar.
The Staverton Buffet Coach opens to serve a variety of hot & cold snacks, teas, coffees and soft drinks.
Sunday evening is usually quiz night – a just for fun general knowledge quiz.

Train Timetable
We have an intensive timetable of train services operating. Please see the below timetable for full details of train times:
Fares
Our normal train fares apply, however we have capped return tickets between Buckfastleigh and Staverton, or Totnes and Staverton, at £10.
If you wish to travel after 1730, use the code ALES25 for 50% off train tickets.
Our best value tickets are our Ranger tickets, which allow unlimited travel on the day selected, allowing you to hop on and off any train services and make the most of the beer festival and a few train rides too!
Please be aware that entry to the station at Staverton, where the beer festival is located, is only available with a train ticket.
