The award winning Railway 200 Exhibition Train ‘Inspiration’ visits Totnes Riverside station on the South Devon Railway between the 17th and 22nd March 2026.

Co-curated with the National Railway Museum, it uses rare artefacts and fascinating facts to explore how railways transformed the world. It includes hands-on engineering challenges and a whistle-stop tour of interesting – and lesser-known – careers on the railways.

There are regular timed sessions throughout the day where visitors can experience ‘Inspiration’. Admission to the train is free of charge, but a ticket must be booked in advance as demand is expected to be high.

Access to Totnes Riverside station is best enjoyed by using the FREE parking at Buckfastleigh station (TQ11 0DZ) and travelling by heritage steam train to the exhibition. Alternatively, foot access is available via a 500m walk from Totnes Mainline station.
