Description
128 pages of black and white photos mostly by the photographer Christopher Steane who took photos of not just the trains and locos but other details like gas lamps station buildings, barrows, lifting apparatus and crossing gates, and people making this a real social as well as transport history of this much loved line. The author Colin Maggs interviewed many of the railwaymen so there are many anecdotes and facts that have not been written down before.
Dustjacket has some wear to corners and faint yellowing. Internal pages have some tanning to top edge and previous owners name written in ink inside front cover.
