GWR Corridor Brake Third No 1645

1645 is a brake third designed by C. B. Collett and built in 1938.

1645 has four compartments and was commonly referred to as a ‘Sunshine’ coach as it once formed part of the regular Cornish Riviera Limited set.

The coach was acquired for preservation from BR departmental use in Exeter by the Dean Forest Railway in the late 1970s and arrived back in Devon in 2003.

It has recently completed its restoration, firstly into GWR chocolate and cream livery then BR carmine and cream.
